The theme for the Bostik Box this month is Christmas. We had lots of Christmassy themed crafting items in the box. My little crafting partner Little M came to spend Sunday with me, can you believe she is almost seven now is quite a young lady.
In the box there were lots of wooden christmas shapes so she made some tree decorations with the cut outs and Bostik glitter glue. After this we made some napkin holders for little M to take home for her Christmas table as gift for her parents.
Equipment you will need for making 1 napkin holder:
1 piece Green stiff felt 18cm by 8cm
1 piece green ribbon 60cm long
2 pompoms
Bostik glitter glue
Bostik foam pads
Bostik white glue
How to make:
1.Using the Bostik foam pads stick the pompoms onto the ends of the ribbon.
2. Lay the green felt and stick the ribbon centrally on to the felt with Bostik PVA glue.
3. Using the glitter glue make decorative spots or swirls and leave to dry. This takes almost 3-4 hours to dry but you can cheat and use a hair dryer if you are in a hurry. (Children will need adult supervision to use hair dryer)
4. Once the glue is dry, place the napkin in the centre and fold the holder over it and tie a bow with the ribbon. You can make more to complete the set.
