About me, who am I? I am the author of this blog. As a travel and lifestyle blog, Citrus Spice and Travels focuses on travel and lifestyle topics. My name is Nayna Kanabar and I am a British Asian who lives in the UK. I was born in East Africa but moved to the United Kingdom at a very young age.
I am very enthusiastic about travel and love visiting new places. My love of travel and food has brought me to discover many places around the world and their authentic cuisines.
What is my reason for writing this blog?
My purpose for this blog is to invite you all to travel with me on a journey to discover the world through the eyes of a vegetarian foodie. While travelling I enjoy learning about cultures, customs, foods, and traditions. My goal is to share with you my experience of the variety of cultures, cuisines, lifestyles, and places from all the places I visit and travel.
Some of my most memorable travel experiences include cooking authentic Cretan food on a farm in Crete. Watching a Keralan meal being cooked on a houseboat in the backwaters of Kerala. I experienced cooking street food with a vendor in India and olive farming in Athens. During my time in Hamburg, I enjoyed learning about ironmongery from local blacksmiths.
In my opinion, travelling extends beyond visiting picturesque places and enjoying beach holidays. It’s about immersing yourself in the local culture and spending time with them.
