This is my second post of my ultimate guide to Singapore series. In this post I am going to cover all the things we did in Singapore on day 2.
Gardens by the Bay – Daytime
On our second day in Singapore we started the day by visiting the iconic Gardens by the Bay. This nature park spans 105 hectares (260 acres) in the Central Region of Singapore, right next to the Marina Reservoir. Situated by the harbour front, it’s a fantastic area. There are three main sections to the Gardens by the Bay. They are Cloud Forest, Floral Fantasy and Flower Dome. I recommend allowing at least 2-3 hours to see everything.
Floral Fantasy
Start your morning at Floral Fantasy. Step into a fairy tale as you wander through four different garden landscapes. Marvel at the stunning suspended floral chandelier, explore the lush rainforest valley, and admire the cascading water display. The vibrant colours and creative arrangements will take your breath away. This whimsical, magical experience brings flowers, artistry, and technology together.
Flower Dome
Next, head over to the Flower Dome. It’s the largest glass greenhouse in the world. Inside, you’ll find plants from all over the globe, particularly from Mediterranean and semi-arid regions. Stroll among olive trees and towering baobabs, surrounded by a kaleidoscope of seasonal flowers. Enjoy the cool, dry air inside as a welcome break from Singapore’s tropical heat. You’ll feel like you’ve taken a mini world tour without leaving the dome.
Cloud Forest
Afterwards, make your way to the Cloud Forest. This dome houses a cool, moist environment with a 35-metre tall mountain covered in lush greenery. Walk on the Cloud Walk and enjoy breath taking views from above. Admire the misty waterfall and diverse plant life, including orchids, ferns, and even carnivorous plants. Don’t miss the Secret Garden at the mountain’s base, where you can discover rare plants and learn about important conservation efforts.
Sky Gardens at CapitaSpring Building
Next, visit the nearby CapitaSpring Building. Prebook your slot to access the stunning sky gardens, which offer panoramic views of the city. The effort is well worth it for the spectacular views from the top. It is also free entry which is an added bonus.
Afternoon Tea at Raffles Hotel
After soaking in the views of the Singapore skyline from the Capita Spring Building , head to the historic Raffles Hotel. This elegant hotel, steeped in history and offers a perfect spot to relax. Enjoy the world famous Singapore Sling followed by a delightful afternoon tea in a luxurious setting. Recharge here before your next adventure.
Gardens by the Bay – Night-time
OCBC Skyway
As evening falls, return to Gardens by the Bay. Experience the most breath-taking views on the OCBC Skyway. Suspended between two Super trees at 22 metres above the ground, this 128-metre-long aerial walkway offers fantastic opportunities to capture postcard-worthy shots of the Gardens’ lush surroundings and Marina Bay Sands.
Garden Rhapsody -The Light Show
The light show at Gardens by the Bay is nothing short of spectacular. Held at 7:45 and 8:45 PM daily at 211 Marina Way, this free show is a feast for the senses. The Super Tree Grove lights up in sync with music, creating a magical atmosphere that will leave you in awe.
Drinks at Marina Bay Sands
After the light show, head to Tower 1 of Marina Bay Sands. It’s a short walking distance away. Visit the Lavo restaurant at Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Enjoy a drink and step out onto the terrace for breath taking views of the city skyline at night. Enjoy a lovely Italian meal here surrounded by beautiful views of the sunset and Singapore . You won’t forget this experience.
Spectra Light and Fountain Show at Marina Bay
After dinner, finally, wrap up your day by watching the Spectra light and fountain show from the Marina Bay decking area. This show combines water, light, and music in a mesmerising display. It is totally free. End your evening in Singapore with unforgettable memories of this vibrant city.

I’ve always wanted to visit Singapore. Admittedly, at first it was because of action movies. LOL. But as I researched it, I realized how incredibly beautiful and interesting it is.

I have been to Singapore over 15 times, and I just can’t have enough of the Gardens by the Bay. I have loved exploring them both during the day and at night. Within the gardens, there are so many cool things to explore. You post reminded me of my last year’s trip.
